Somewhere... There's New Music!

Straight out of Upper Arlington in Ohio, the "By and By" hitmakers just released their new EP "Somehwere". Going places, this band has a new top-ten hit "Let Things Go" on the Alternative Airplay chart. On the new project, the band showcases growth, marking somewhat a change of direction from their biggest hit "By and By". Still, their hearts remain the same. The new EP packs a lot of what fans came to love about Caamp.

What does the internet think about the new EP? We checked out a Reddit discussion post and a bunch of fans wrote down their thoughts:

"These songs make me want to curl up next to a fire on a cold winter night, so cozy," user ctz123 wrote.

"I love it. It feels very natural and fun for them. And who knows why they took such a long break but to me this sounds like they felt something," user BrettLando shared.

"I’m happy they made new music and that they seemed happy making it... I like that they tried something slightly different and look forward to hearing somewhere live," user Swarles1212 wrote.

As their first release in three years, everyone's in for big surprises from Caamp on tour.

About the Band

While at Ohio University, Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall kicked off the project. After the two met at a summer camp, the band really came to be as bassist Matt Vinson and Joseph Kavalec on keyboards hopped on board. Recording their first record in a remote cabin, it's no wonder their music feels like a breath of fresh air. Soon after, the world caught up with their charming, honest, and relatable folk tunes.

Their third LP "By & By" fueled the band's continued success, making it to #1 on the US Heatseekers chart. Its title track was certified Gold by the RIAA, solidifying their place in the folk scene. "Peach Fuzz" is another song that became a staple fan favorite.

Since amassing national acclaim, the band had been hitting the skies on huge tours. They've also made special appearances on various music festivals including Lollapalooza, Bonnaro, Austin City Limits, Under The Big Sky, and the Newport Folk Festival. With music described as "nostalgic and soulful" by NPR, critics and fans alike agree that their discography is the epitome of folk energies. Raw vocals, lush instrumentation, and folk vibes, you couldn't ask for more.

They've also performed on TV, with performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and CBS Saturday Morning.

With a tour all around "Somewhere", make sure you have the best spots by booking your tickets now!
